And One More Award Winner…

Let me add to that list of award winners our very own Mary Jane Petrowski, winner of the ACRL Instruction Section’s (IS) Miriam Dudley Instruction Librarian Award. If you don’t know Mary Jane, she is the associate director of the Association of College and Research Libraries. The award honors Miriam Dudley, whose efforts in the field of information literacy led to the formation of the ACRL Instruction Section. The honor recognizes a librarian who has made a significant contribution to the advancement of instruction in a college or research library environment. All of Mary Jane’s colleagues, associates, and friends congratulate her on this great honor and professional achievement. As you read the press release announcing the award you will see why Mary Jane truly deserves this recognition for her contributions to information literacy.

The other thing you may not know is that Mary Jane was instrumental to the creation and development of ACRLog. Without her efforts you probably wouldn’t be reading ACRLog right now. So congrats to Mary Jane too!
