It was much easier to find the ACRL booth at the ALA convention this year thanks to the new, innovative ALA Plaza. Well located in the center of the exhibits, this was ALA’s own little slice of real estate for division booths and other promotional fare. When I visited I found Kelly Barrack (pictured below) of Yale University staffing the ACRL booth.
I couldn’t find any ACRLog flyers there, but Kelly did make sure I got the standard tchotchkes promoting the ACRL 14th National Conference for 2009. No doubt these items will remind me when and where the Conference is – that happens to be March 12-15, 2009 in Seattle. The official theme is “Pushing the Edge: Explore, Extend, Engage”. What loyal ACRL member wouldn’t want to get hold of these conference collector’s items (see the photo below – not pictured – the always practical conference sticky note pad)?
Your next best opportunity to get the fabulous door magnet and button? My guess is ALA Midwinter in Philadelphia. I’m looking forward to seeing you all for a visit to my hometown – hope you can make it.
